Rivero, Gordimer & Company (RGCO) is proud to announce that Brooke B. Dawson, CPA and Dennis A. Paleveda, CPA have both been named new Shareholders at the firm. Their elevation to this leadership role reflects their significant contributions to RGCO and their commitment to excellence in serving clients throughout the Tampa Bay Area and beyond. Since joining RGCO in 2014 and 2016 respectively, Brooke and Dennis have become trusted leaders within the Assurance Team—bringing deep expertise, steady guidance, and a people-first approach that strengthens both client outcomes and the firm’s culture.

About Brooke Dawson
Brooke joined Rivero, Gordimer & Company in 2014 and most recently served as Senior Manager on the Assurance Team. With a deep focus on not-for-profit organizations, Brooke works with a wide range of mission-driven clients, including organizations in education, foundations, social services, membership groups, schools, and religious organizations. Her experience includes complex compliance environments, including engagements involving Uniform Guidance and the State of Florida Single Audit Act requirements. Brooke is known for helping organizations stay compliant, confident, and prepared—while also supporting strong governance and clear storytelling through financial statements and Form 990 reporting.
Prior to joining RGCO, Brooke gained experience in forensic accounting and litigation support, with work involving both civil and criminal matters.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and making the most of a day off—whether that’s getting outdoors with her kids, a date night with her husband, or a spa day with a friend. She’s also a Tampa Bay native.
Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and her Master’s in Accounting and Taxation from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), and is a graduate of Tampa Connections Class of 2017.

About Dennis Paleveda
Dennis joined Rivero, Gordimer & Company in 2016 and most recently served as Senior Audit Manager on the Assurance Team. Dennis brings broad assurance experience across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, not-for-profit, employee benefit plans, and engagements involving federal and state Single Audits. His background also includes service as an auditor for the State of Florida, as well as prior experience in public accounting, providing him with a well-rounded perspective that adds value across a wide range of client needs.
Dennis is actively engaged with the industries and professional groups connected to his client work, including Associated Builders and Contractors, the Construction Financial Management Association, and the Florida Transportation Builders Association, in addition to his involvement with the AICPA and FICPA.
A Tampa native, Dennis has deep roots in the community and values the culture at RGCO—noting the firm’s genuine care for its employees and their well-being. Outside of the office, Dennis has been involved in baseball throughout his life and has carried that passion into adulthood through softball and most recently coaching Little League. He most values spending time at home with his wife, their two children, and their corgi—often playing outside and enjoying time together.
Dennis earned both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Accounting from Florida State University, where he remains a proud supporter of the Seminoles.
