One of our shareholders, Mike Helton, CPA, was asked by 4th grade student Morgan W. to present at Channelside Academy of Math & Science (Charter School in Hillsborough) for their annual Career Day.
Mike spoke to 4th & 6th grade classes about taxes and why those are collected, the purposes for which they are used and who has to pay. Initially, both the 4th & 6th graders were not so enthused to learn about this topic until Mike produced full-size boxes of candy to give out to the students who could answer his challenging questions.
